Boxes of Love

We are THRILLED! Through our Boxes of Love program this past December, we raised more than $15,000 to help families at the Holy Family Center and the Allamano School in Kenya.

Two hundred families received food and supplies that carried them throughout the holiday season, and without the support of our FPC friends and families, this would not have been possible. The Holy Family Center at Nazareth Hospital provides education, drug and nutrition support, and fellowship for thousands of HIV/AIDS patients. The Allamano School is a Christian primary remedial school, on the grounds of Nazareth hospital that serves the children of teapickers who live on less than $2 a day.

These Boxes of Love are truly that! For each gift box filled with handmade African crafts purchased at FPC last month, we were able to provide much needed provisions to families who might otherwise go hungry. The boxes we distributed in Kenya contained enough cooking fat, wheat flour, corn flour, rice and beans to feed a family for six weeks! Other items in the box include school bags, clean water, toothbrushes, soap, shoes, warm coats and blankets. The boxes were distributed right before Christmas to our Kenyan friends!

Thanks to all who contributed so generously to this important ministry!
