CELEBRATING CHILDREN

At the Holy Family Center (HFC) in Kenya, there is a program called Mother to Mother that seeks to prevent the transmission of HIV from HIV+ pregnant mothers to their children through drug adherence, counseling, and lifestyle coaching. The program has had a 100% success rate over the last 7 years! It is a tradition for mothers of the program to have a celebration when their children reach 2 years of age and test negative for HIV. The mother in this celebration has two children, ages 2 and 3. Both of these beautiful little girls are HIV negative and are doing very well! These celebrations are joyful and important milestones for our mothers, children, and all the staff at HFC. Thanks to all our Tree of Lives donors who make them possible!
